A chassid, stricken with troubles, once approached the Maggid of Mezritch for counsel. Realizing the desperation of the chassid, the Maggid referred him to Reb Zusia of Anipoli to further guide him in dealing with his struggles.
Reb Zusia was himself impoverished and faced severe personal struggles. However, he was known for his joyful and cheerful attitude in spite of his conditions.
When the chassid reached Reb Zusia, he was greatly surprised to find him in such an uplifted mood. He realized that it was unnecessary to express the reason for his coming, since he immediately understood the obvious meaning of the Maggid's intention in sending him there.
