No. 282
This letter was addressed to R. Menachem Zev Greenglass, one of the leaders of the Lubavitcher community in Montreal.B"H, 14 Menachem Av, 5707Greetings and blessings,
Enclosed is a letter to the Dalfon brothers. Since you were the intermediary with regard to the matter, I am sending the letter to you with a request that you convey it to them.
On a separate page, I have included an analogy which I wrote to them. I am concerned that because they are very involved in their business, it would not be appropriate to write at length. [Hence] I did not include it in the letter itself. If you feel that it is appropriate that they, nonetheless, read it, you have permission to include it in the letter as a postscript. If not, let it remain in your possession and return it to me.
We are sending five bound volumes for you and for each of the brothers under separate cover. If more are necessary, please inform me.
Their share of the cost is more than $1000. Certainly you will endeavor that they pay the entire amount, and of primary importance, that they do so speedily. For you are certainly aware of our situation from the last letter [sent out] by Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch.
By the way, you will certainly endeavor to fulfill your longstanding promise to pay your debt, or at the very least, to send a significant amount of it.
With wishes for everlasting good in all matters and with the blessing "Immediately to teshuvah, immediately to Redemption,"
M. Schneerson
