The name of the recipient of this letter was not released.B"H, 15 Kislev, 5710Greetings and blessings,
As I promised, I am enclosing the sichah of Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah which had been [presented to][139] my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita, despite the fact that you certainly remember the sichos of those days, [for] they should illuminate all the days of the year.
Also enclosed is a copy of a letter of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita, and the kuntres for the near-approaching Yud-Tes Kislev.[140] Undoubtedly, you will study them with the appropriate concentration and endeavor to carry out [the instructions] contained in these letters.
Take note of the maamar in the kuntres that begins speaking about the positive quality of peace and of the Priestly Blessings.[141] As is well known, when our Sages relate the praise of Aharon,[142] [they describe him as being one who] "loved peace and pursued peace." (They do not, however, remain content with this [and add]): "loving the created beings (see the interpretation [of that term] in Tanya, ch. 32)[143] and drawing them close to the Torah." [Aharon's] descendants should also conduct themselves in this manner.
With wishes for everlasting good in all matters,
Rabbi Menachem SchneersonNotes:
