This letter was addressed to R. Benyamin Gorodetzky, a chassid who headed the office for the aid of refugees which received financial assistance from the Joint Distribution Committee.B"H, 3 Sivan, 5710Greetings and blessings,
Two letters reached me from R. Michael Lipsker[512] in Meknes. He reports that there are great possibilities for concrete activity [to be established] there immediately. His supposition was that you were already in Brooklyn. Therefore he did not write to you in Paris about all these matters, relying on the fact that you would see the letters he sent us. I sent you a telegram today, quoting what is stated in the enclosures.
Therefore I again emphasize my request that you endeavor to be present at the laying of the cornerstone for our activities in [North] Africa for which there are hopes that, with G-d's help, they will be very successful. With regard to all these matters, it is very, very important that the first step be aligned with the [ultimate] purpose. In the interim, please send [R. Michael] some financial resources.
I am including a telegram and a letter which arrived for you from Dublin and were given to me.
May my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, arouse [Divine mercy Above] to draw down blessing and success for each and every one of us so that each individual's service on his post will be according to [the Rebbe's] desire and will.
Under separate cover, the kuntres for the coming Shavuos holiday was sent [to you].
With Shavuos holiday blessings and awaiting good tidings,
M. SchneersonNotes:
