Blessings and greetings,

Through Rabbi Yaakov Hecht, I was notified about your operation. As per his request, I read a pan for your speedy recovery in the room of my revered father-in-law, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, hk"m.

Certainly, you are following the directives of the doctor. The [ultimate] Healer is G-d. Nevertheless, the Torah relates that He desires that this be accomplished partially through an intermediary: the doctor and the mediums he prescribes. We must also remember that the primary medicine are the mitzvos and the good deeds that G-d told each one of us to perform. They endow us with health and strength.

With blessings for a speedy recovery, and with greetings for your son, Mr. .... May you receive a full measure of nachas, Yiddishe nachas, from him and from his family,
