No. 671
The name of the person to whom this letter was sent was not released.B"H, 13 Menachem Av, 5710Greetings and blessings,
In response to your letter of 7 Menachem Av stating that the 12th of Menachem Av is your birthday on which you complete the 25th year of your life; may it be [filled with] long and good years. With this I am conveying my blessings that the blessings conveyed upon you by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, be fulfilled in a complete manner with regard to material and spiritual matters.
[May you merit the fulfillment of the charge:] "From the age of 25 and upwards, he shall come to serve in the forces" (Behaalos'cha 8:24), according to the interpretation of the term "forces" in the maamar of 13 Shvat[687] at the conclusion of the subsection beginning "And you shall make a Sanctuary for Me." Note the gloss of the Kessef Mishneh to Hilchos Klei HaMikdash 3:7.[688]
Surely you are involving yourself in [seeking] a fitting shidduch in the appropriate manner in keeping with our Sages' statement:[689] "It is the way of a man to seek out [a woman....]"
Certainly you have fixed times for the study of the teachings of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, hk"m, in addition to your other study sessions. Would you inform me of this?
With blessings for establishing yourself in a proper manner.
Awaiting good tidings from you,
Menachem SchneersonNotes:
