One does not say ribono shel olam hareini at the bedtime Shema on Friday night.[234] One says hashkiveinu only until sukas shlomecha. Vidui (the confessional prayer) is omitted, as is Psalm 51 (lamnatzeiach b'vo).
The above also applies to festivals,[235] as well as to Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.
