Happy Purim. Gut Shabbos.
May your farbrengens reflect -- and stem from --
"Light, happiness, gladness, and honor."[488] May they lead to good and successful resolutions in the modes of divine service which our Sages[489] have associated with this verse: " 'Light' -- this refers to Torah...." Indeed, may this lead to a twofold measure of deliverance in the study of the Torah and the fulfillment of its mitzvos.
And, to borrow an expression of our Sages,[490] may we "join redemption to redemption," proceeding from the redemption of this Purim to the true and ultimate Redemption led by Mashiach.
Then we will merit the fulfillment of Moshe's prayer, "May the pleasantness of G-d, our L-rd, be upon us. Establish for us the work of our hands; establish for us the work of our hands,"[491] in the building of the Third Beis HaMikdash.
