"...We are unified by her ability to share a vision that is absolutely positive while grounded in reality, a vision of one's unlimited potential for growth as a Jew..."
If a person is very fortunate in life, they may be blessed with a friendship that transcends time and space, that is infinite in its capacity to nurture and guide, to give and to receive. Such a relationship is truly eternal, and such a friend was Nechomie. We are scattered all around the globe. We are young and old, single and married, mothers and daughters.
We are bound through our feelings of gratitude and love for Nechomie, and unified by her ability to share a vision that is absolutely positive while grounded in reality, a vision of one's unlimited potential for growth as a Jew. She truly personified the spirit of the
Teshuva movement. From the earliest days of Machon Chana, while still a single girl, she was there as both teacher and
mashpia. Her enthusiasm for delving into Torah was contagious; her ability to inspire the same in others was her gift.
Nechomie lived Ahavas Yisroel, and her example allowed countless others to look at themselves and their world without obstacles.
Her talents and success continued to grow during her years in Israel. The impact she had on so many hearts is surely beyond measure. She truly earned her title as a shluchah of the Rebbe Shlita.
Nechomie left a priceless legacy of emunah, of humility, of grace, of love of Torah and for every other Jew. Because of her, we yearn for Mashiach with a sadness and a longing that was unknown before. May we merit to learn from her again and to laugh with her again tekef umiyad mamash.
